September 8, 1932 - February 15, 2026
Mary Alice Keough Gagliardi, 93, of Ringgold, Georgia, born on September 8, 1932, in Fisherville, Tennessee, passed from this earth on February 15, 2026. She awoke to a heavenly celebration with her family and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Alice was a loving mother, gramma, aunt, and friend. She began her medical career as a fourteen-year-old assisting the country doctor with delivering babies and sick visits. While in nursing school in Memphis, she met Robert Gagliardi, stationed at NSA Mid-South. Together, they became a memorable team. She had a life full of travels and adventures, which she would happily share with anyone. She was a Sunday School teacher, Boy and Girl Scout leader, PTO President, impromptu caregiver, and substitute mom for hundreds of young people. She was also a devoted Atlanta Braves fan.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gagliardi; her precious grandson, Joey Gagliardi; her parents, Willie Frank and Virginia Keough; and her siblings, Carolyn Beaver, Frankie Daly, Albert Keough, and Bo Keough.
Surviving are two daughters, Joy Ayres and her husband, Tom, Lori Collins and her husband, Larry; sons, Craig Gagliardi and Doug Gagliardi and his wife, Jackie; twelve cherished grandchildren and thirteen adored great-grandchildren. She has a cousin, along with numerous nieces and nephews, that she truly treasured. Storytelling and laughter were never in short supply when the family gathered. Alice’s smile and quiet laugh were contagious, and along with her caring heart, she has left a lasting legacy to everyone who knew her.
The family invites friends and loved ones to join us in remembering and honoring Alice on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Your prayers and support mean a lot to us during this challenging time, and we genuinely appreciate them.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that in keeping with her love for children and caregiving, memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Fisherville Baptist Church Children’s Program in Eads, Tennessee.
