Mary Ellen Teeters McDaniel, 71, of Rossville, Georgia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on February 1, 1953 to the late, Marion & Ollie Durham Wilcox and was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga & North Georgia areas. She was a faithful member of Tiftonia Baptist Church and was a Hairdresser & Cosmetologist for more than 25 years. Mary loved gardening, crafts, sewing, working on puzzles and enjoyed cooking for her family & friends. She adored her grandchildren and would always go above and beyond to help others in need. She was a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend that will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by her first huband, James Darrell Teeters; granddaughter, Tinzley Couch and two sisters, Betty Jo Augustin and Faye Massengale.

Survivors include her loving husband, Herschel McDaniel; children & spouses, Shellie & (Doug) Couch, Nathan Teeters, Lisa McDaniel and Susan & (Ted) Pritchett; sisters & brother-in-law, Norma Ellis and Nancy & (Tim) Chambers; 7 grandchildren, Shonda & (Daniel), Matthew, Chloe, Christian, Josh, Katie & Tyler; 4 great-granchildren, Autumn, Georgia, Colt and Teagan; several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2024 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor Mark Brandon officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 ~ 8 p.m. on Sunday and prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in the Lakewood West Memorial Gardens in Tiftonia, TN.
