Mary Jo (Snyder) Patterson, age 93, of LaFayette passed away Monday, April 17, 2023.
Mary Jo was a member of Friendship Baptist Church for over 50 years.
An avid gardener, Mary Jo kept her yard immaculate. She loved cooking and baking and was known as the “Pickle Queen” by many.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Ralph S. Patterson; parents, Harrison Baker Snyder and Mamie Alice Whittle Snyder; sisters, Evelyn Ward, Mildred Crowder, Frances Williams Patterson, Dorothy Brown, and Virgie Mae Snyder; brothers, Carl Snyder, William (Bill) Snyder, Harrison Baker Snyder Jr., and Harold Snyder.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan (Rickey) Burrage, sons, Curtis (Liz) Patterson, Mike (Kathy) Patterson, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 21 in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dennis England officiating.
Interment at LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers are her grandsons.
The visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm.
