Mary Katherine Whitley, 86, of Ringgold, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

Born in Bryant Al., she resided in Ringgold in her later years. Mary was a devoted member of Ringgold Church of God. She dedicated her life to caring for others, especially her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney R. Whitley; her parents, Orea and Clara Boatner; her daughter, Loraine Henson; grand daughter Genie Whitley; and her sister, Joyce Carrol.

Mary is survived by her children, Alan Whitley, Brent (Lori) Whitley, and Tony (Angie) Whitley; siblings, James (Anita) Boatner and Betty (Ronnie) Webb; grandchildren, Angie Patton, Clay Whitley, Brandon Whitley, Brody Whitley, Shane Whitley, Corey Whitley, Lex Whitley, and Zach Whitley. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the parlor of Wilson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Ft. Oglethorpe Chapel. Interment will follow at Higdon Cemetery in Higdon, Alabama.
