Mary Lynn Morrison Huff age 87, of Chickamauga, Georgia went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, August 18, 2024. She was born in Murray County, Georgia to the late A.C. and Virgil Inez Bandy Morrison. She was a lifelong resident of northwest Georgia and was a member of Elizabeth Lee Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, cooking, canning and sewing. She was a former employee of Crystal Springs Print Works, Hutcheson Medical Center, Brock Candy Company and retired from McCallie School where she was a secretary to the counselor. She was a member of the Pilot Club and served as a volunteer at Hutcheson Medical Center for many years. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: W.R. “Red” Huff, siblings: Bennie Morrison, Robbie Sue Campbell, Max D. Morrison, Sr., Glenda Faye Helton, Janet Holland and Jathan “Jake” Morrison. She is survived by her children: Kelly (Rita) Huff of Watkinsville, GA and Kevin (Cheryl) Huff of Chickamauga, GA, grandchildren: Tyler (Cam) Huff, John Huff, Jacob (Madison) Huff, Laura Huff, great-grandchildren: Sawyer, Tucker, Walker, Hadley and William Huff, several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff at American House Shallowford for their loving care of Mary Lynn, especially Carrie Goldston. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Elizabeth Lee Methodist Church with Minister Zach Fitzpatrick and Craig Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga Veterans National Cemetery.
