Melinda “Lynn” Cooper Jewell, age 57, of LaFayette passed away Friday, April 7, 2023.
She had a passion for helping others, in which she spent most of her career doing so until her passing, being currently employed with the Primary Healthcare Centers at Gilbert Elementary School. Lynn leaves behind a legacy of love and care
and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Dorothy “Dot” Welch.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Jewell; children, Kayla (Jason) Maher, Brandon (Cynthia) Butler, and Karen (Chris) Daly; grandchildren, Brylee, Chloe and Austin Maher, Emma, Ben and Tripp Butler, Brady and Andrew Daly; great granddaughter, Audrey Maher; sister, Angie Corbin; brothers, Ricky (Cindy) Cooper and Michael (Michelle) Cooper; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tim Chastain officiating.
Interment at LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers are Gary Jewell, Billy Richardson, Michael Cooper, Cole Chastain, Jeff Baker, and Jerry Skidmore.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
