Michael Darryl LiebauRinggold, GA

Michael Darryl Liebau, 55, of Ringgold, passed away, Saturday, April 8, 2023. He was born and raised in Michigan, before moving around to Kentucky for a couple of years, Alabama for more than 13 years and then the North Georgia area the last 5 years of his life. He was of the Catholic faith and had worked in the Tool & Dye Industry for most of his life. He was a true animal lover and enjoyed hiking, watching movies and devoting his time to his family & friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend that will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas “Tom” Liebau; brother, Tom Liebau and sister, Christina Mary Stuart.

Survivors include; his loving wife of more than 25 years, Carleen Elkins Liebau; children, Sarah Liebau, Michael Liebau and Rebecca Liebau; mother, Jeanette Preston Liebau; brothers, Ted Liebau and Don Liebau; sister, Barbara Soulliere; several nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2023 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
