Forrest Leslie “Butch” Floyd age 79, of Chattanooga, TN passed away Thursday – August 15, 2024. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Leslie Eugene and Betty Jo Godfrey Floyd. Butch served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, retired from Brook Textiles after many years as a machine operator and supervisor. He enjoyed watching sporting events on TV, especially the Atlanta Braves and the Tennessee Volunteers, which he was an avid fan. Butch was a Christian, of the Baptist Faith and attended Calvary Chapel. He was a member of the American Legion – Post 95 in East Ridge, Tennessee. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Leslie Eugene Floyd, Jr. He is survived by his sister: Connie M. (Sydney) Dickson of Chattanooga, TN, brother: Tim (Carol) Floyd of Chickamauga, GA, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
