Jack is preceded in death by his beloved wife of over sixty-five years, Melba Castleberry Harp; parents, John C and Beulah Harp; brother, Junior Harp; and sisters, Ruby Scealf and Ruth Kinsey.
He is survived by his children, Jack (Robin) Harp, Jr., of Rossville, Georgia, and LaShon (Scott) Shook; grandchildren, Joshua Shook, Jonathan (Starr) Harp, Mindy (Frankie) Ruiz; great-grandchildren, Brynleigh, Wager, Maya, Zoey, Bryon, Jaxson, Addyson, and Beckham.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Tyler, Ashley, and Holly from Tapestry Hospice and Missy and the staff of the Lantern at Morning Pointe Assisted Living at Happy Valley. Your care and support during this challenging time have been a great comfort to us.
The family has arranged for a time to remember and honor Jack. Friends and family are invited to join us on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service, a time to celebrate Jack’s life, will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Terry Burns officiating. Following the service, we will proceed to Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park, 724 Hogan Road, Rossville, Georgia, for the burial. The family appreciates your prayers and support during this difficult time.
