Jesse Wayne Kell, Sr., age 72, of Cohutta, Georgia, passed away Tuesday – December 2, 2025. He was born in Dalton, Georgia to the late Dewell Richard and Savannah Cleo Graveley Kell. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He faithfully served his country for over twenty years and retired in 1993 with the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class – AE1. After his military career he worked as a mechanic at Sale Auto Mall, Midas, Little Debbie and had his own shop at his residence. Jesse enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and reloading ammunition. He was of the Baptist faith and had resided in the Cohutta area since retiring from the U.S. Navy. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister: Linda Kell Bailey, brothers: Bobby and David Kell. He is survived by his wife: Deborah Kay Cochran Kell of Cohutta, GA, children: Christian Kell of Cleveland, TN, Cathy Tate of Madison, AL, Heather Kell of Hendersonville, N.C., Jesse Wayne (Leah) Kell, Jr., of Campobello, S.C., Austin Kell of Hendersonville, N.C., Danielle (Ben) Rollin of Tampa, FL., Jeff Head of old Fort, TN, Kevin (Lila) Head of Resaca, GA, seventeen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm until the service. A celebration of Jesse’s life will be held at 2:00 pm – Saturday – December 6, 2025, in the chapel with Pastor Timothy Parker officiating.
