Mr. Martin Carter VickersChickamauga

Martin Carter Vickers age 83, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Saturday – February 7, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Marshall County, Kentucky to the late Herman Carter and Mary Lorene Hurst Vickers. He graduated from North Marshall High School - Class of 1960. Martin had resided in the northwest Georgia area for over thirty years and was a member of Jones Memorial Baptist Church in Rossville, Georgia. He retired from Top Flight Paper in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Martin enjoyed playing golf, fishing, Putt-Putt Golf, playing Yahtzee and dominoes. He was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats Basketball Team. He enjoyed traveling out west, especially to the Tucson, Arizona area. Martin also enjoyed drinking Coca-Cola Classic and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters: Mary Joyce Bowerman and Frances Reed. He is survived by his wife: Delores Mavis Jarnigan Vickers of Chickamauga, GA, and their children: Melissa Vickers of Chickamauga, GA, Anita (Jeff) LeVan of Benton, KY, Melinda (David) Massey of Chickamauga, GA, Darlene (Kenny) Dedmon of Ringgold, GA, Carla (Robert) Quinn of Red Bank, TN, Will (Jennifer) Young of Chickamauga, GA, sister: Virginia Prince of Benton, KY, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday at Filbeck & Cann Funeral Home in Benton, Kentucky.
