Mr. Michael Ray Shawn WhiteFort Oglethorpe

Michael Ray Shawn White age 40, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025. He was born in Fort Oglethorpe to the late Paul William White and Pamela Gayle Dorsey White. He had resided most of his life in LaFayette, Georgia and attended LaFayette High School. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed working in his yard, listening to country music, singing karaoke and grilling out. He was an avid Georgia Bulldawgs fan. What the family remembers most about him was him caring and helping others. He is a former employee of the City of LaFayette, where he worked in utilities. Before his short illness, he was an employee with The City of Dalton where he worked in utilities driving a dump truck. Along with his parents, he is preceded by his grandparents: Mike & Opal Dorsey and Ray & Kate White. He is survived by his wife: Lori Brock, daughter: Hailey White, step-children: Hunter and Maddie, sisters: Mandy (Jay) Westmorland, Christy (Scott) Forrest, Brandy White, brother: Bryan White, grandson: Jackson Morton, adopted grandmother: Rachel Southerland, adopted grandfather: Raymond Southerland, former caregiver and dear friends: Wendy (Chuck) Bishop, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm - Sunday – January 4, 2026 graveside at Arnold Cemetery with Damon Perry officiating.
