Mr. Paul King Martin Jr.Rock Spring

Paul King Martin, Jr., age 75, of Rock Spring, Georgia passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 in a local hospital. He was born in LaFayette, Georgia to the late Paul King Martin, Sr. and Geneva Annice Fricks Martin. He was a graduate of LaFayette High School – Class of 1969 and a lifelong resident of the area. He was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served his country during the Vietnam War and was a proud veteran. Paul was a Tool & Dye Maker and was a faithful employee of the Roper Corporation for forty years. Paul was an active man and lived life to the fullest. He loved hunting, fishing and trips to Florida. He also enjoyed spending time on the lake, working on his farm or just hanging out at the house with his family. To his family, he was known as “Butch” and was a great man who will be missed greatly. He was a devoted husband to his wife: Paula Lynn Bryson Martin for forty-one years, a supportive father to Nathan Paul Martin and Tessy Gray, loving grandfather to Brennon and Sally Gray, Kendra and Brandon Mason, adored great-grandfather to Ryder Mason and Hank Gray. Butch loved his siblings: Sara and James Ulrich, Carl and Susan Martin, Mary Ann Martin, Bob and Tonia Martin, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday after 10:00 am until the service. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm – Monday – July 21, 2025 in the chapel with Pastor Ashley Mew officiating. Burial will follow at Gordon Lake Cemetery – LaFayette, Georgia.
