Mr. Robert Dale Robertson
September 14, 1957 - December 19, 2025

Robert “Robbie” Dale Robertson age 68, of Chickamauga, Georgia went to be with The Lord Friday – December 19, 2025. Born in Ringgold, Georgia to the late Russell and Mary Jo Wester Robertson, he was a lifetime resident of Walker County. Robbie graduated with the Rossville High School Class of 1975, where he was a star catcher, wearing the #5 jersey and president of the Key club. A former employee of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Apex Heating & Air, Robbie spent his final 33 work years as a loyal, faithful and key employee with us at Wilson Funeral Homes where we consider him family. He managed the personnel for all four chapels and earned the respect from all the staff, to say he was a loyal and faithful employee is an understatement. While a big fan of the Georgia Bulldawgs, hunting for antiques, and Wendy’s frostys, it was people he really cared about. Robbie was a noticer, he noticed when people were in need and was never too busy to lend a big helping hand. Giving back to his community as a Chickamauga city councilman, active member of the Chickamauga recreation and supporter of the Gordon Lee Trojans, he impacted people everywhere he went. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. He was also an Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds fan, especially when Johnny Bench played. He was of the Baptist faith and had been attending Peavine Baptist Church in Rock Spring, GA. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister: Carolyn Elsea and brother: Walter “Hippie” Robertson. Robbie loved his family dearly and was a great father to Robbie Lee (Megan) Robertson of Chattanooga, TN, Kris Robertson, Jessica (Zack) DeBord, Chase (Abby) Robertson, Lexis (Austin) Goodlet all of Chickamauga, GA, he was a great brother to Becky Cardwell of Soddy Daisy, TN, Tommy (Brenda) Robertson of Ringgold, GA, Monty Robertson of Rossville, GA, Mary (Mike) Hartman of Chickamauga, GA, devoted grandfather to Patton, Wells, Miller (arriving in February), Reese, Josey, Tate, Addie, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe and Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Peavine Baptist Church in Rock Spring, GA. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm – Tuesday – December 23, 2025 with Dale Forrester, Jimmy Spurling and David Wilson officiating. Arrangements by W.L.
