Mrs. Anna Laura OnbeyLaFayette

Anna Laura Maronde Onbey age 94, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away Wednesday – April 9, 2025. She was born in Hubertus, Wisconsin to the late Paul “C.F.” and Laura Lindstedt Maronde. She had resided in the LaFayette area since 1968 and was a member of LaFayette United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of the Roper Corporation, enjoyed being a housewife and homemaker to her family. She loved to crochet, counted cross stitch and was an accomplished seamstress. She also loved working in her yard and her flower gardens. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Marvin Onbey, sister: Doris Maronde and brother: Sonny Maronde. She is survived by her children: Juanita (Leon) Johnson, Douglas Mark (Donna) Onbey, grandchildren: John Johnson, David Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Ben Johnson, Grit Bennett, Sage Onbey, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A private graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm – Friday – April 11, 2025 at LaFayette Memory Gardens with Pastor Craig Thomas officiating. Online guest book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
