Mrs. Betty Ann GilreathLaFayette

Mrs. Betty Ann Gilreath age 84, of LaFayette, Georgia went home to be with The Lord Sunday – May 11, 2025. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Sterling James and Irene Maude Songer Clark. She was a former employee of Salem Carpet Mills. She enjoyed being a homemaker and had also worked as a seamstress. She enjoyed working in her garden and tending to her flowers. She was a member of LaFayette Church of Christ and enjoyed singing and worshiping The Lord. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Donald “Raymond” Gilreath, their son: Clay Gilreath and her brother: Larry Clark. Betty Ann is survived by her daughters: Carol (Felix) Coulter of Kensington, GA, Judy (Greg) Copeland of LaFayette, GA, sisters: Linda Rocha of Hixson, TN, Faye Russell of LaFayette, GA, brother: Ted Clark of Trenton, GA, grandchildren: Tiahna Gilreath, Carly (Joe) Shilling, Chad Coulter, great-grandchildren: Faye Lynn, Asa James, Livy Joyce Shilling, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday – May 14, 2025, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the LaFayette Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with Minister: Reed Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Coulter Cemetery, Kensington, Georgia.
