Mrs. Bobbie Jean CrossChickamauga

Bobbie Jean Jones Cross age 83, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025. She was born in Modesta, California to the late Robert “Bobby” Ernest and Ila Dugger Jones. She served her country in the U.S. Navy and was a proud veteran. She was a member of Gordon Lake Wesleyan Church in LaFayette, Georgia and loved her church family. She was a retired accountant for the RCA Company. She enjoyed thrift shopping, going out to eat, bird watching, especially her humming birds. She was a power reader and enjoying serving others through volunteering at The Care Mission in LaFayette and at the Chattanooga Kitchen. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Thomas “Tom” Burl Cross, Jr., their daughter: Tammie Jean Cross, her step-father: Charles Arthur Boydstun, sisters: Mary Ann Boydstun Kimball and Sally Belle Boydstun Jones. She I s survived by her son: Thomas Burl “Sonny” (Millie) Cross III of Rossville, GA, brothers: Guy R. (Rita) Boydstun of West Fork, AR, Jim A. (Deborah) of Kelso, Washington, grandchildren: Cherie (Barry) Massengale of Fort Oglethorpe, GA, Joel Thomas (Laura) Sawyer of Chattanooga, GA, Dalton (Faith) Glass of Poguoson, VA, great-grandchildren: Logan, Cayleigh, Hunter, Madelyn Jean, Charlotte Elizabeth, brothers-in-law: Daniel Wade (Brenda) Cross, Walter Olen (Teresa) Cross, sister-in-law: Debbie Cross Poteet, brother-in-law: Howard Bartlett, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday – August 17, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Monday – August 18, 2025 from 10:00 am until the service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm – Monday – August 18, 2025 in the chapel with Pastor Ashley Mew officiating.
