Mrs. Donata L. Walker

Donata Lacson Walker age 73, of Chickamauga, Georgia went home to be with The Lord Thursday evening – July 3, 2025. She was born in Manila, Philippines to the late Victorino and Flora Aguire Lacson. Donata was proud to become a U.S. citizen in 1985, was extremely patriotic and avid Georgia Bulldawgs Fan. She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary – Post 217 and a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society. She enjoyed line dancing, playing pickleball, bowling, teaching water aerobics, gardening and cooking. Donata enjoyed formerly serving in Awana’s at Oakwood Baptist Church. She was a former member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church and a current member of First Baptist Church of Chickamauga, where she was a member of the Prime Time Sunday School Class. Donata was a very active and energic lady in many things. She was most passionate in loving The Lord and loved serving others for The Lord. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Johnny Andrew Walker. She is survived by her children: Bryan (Ploy) Walker of Charleston, S.C., Juanita (Nic) Bloodworth of Chickamauga, GA, Jessica (Nathan) Courtney of Flintstone, GA, fiancé: Jeff Yauman of Ringgold, GA, grandchildren: Ufour Walker of Charleston, S.C., Haven (Caleb) Parrish of Rock Spring, GA, great-grandchildren: Emory and Addison Parrish, a sister, a brother, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Thursday from 12 noon until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am – Friday – July 11, 2025 in the chapel with Pastor Derrell O’Neal and Pastor Ken McCoy officiating. Per Donata’s request, the family request those attending the funeral to please wear red, white and blue patriotic attire. Burial will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park – Rossville, Georgia.
