Donna Paulette Smith Heard 76, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025. Donna was born in Fort Payne, Alabama to the late Charles Smith and Anna Ruth Sparks Smith Thorne. She was a former employee of Staples in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She affirmed her faith in Jesus as her Savior in baptism at Lookout Valley Baptist Church many years ago. She attended Linwood Baptist Church in LaFayette, GA. Donna enjoyed many things in life, dancing, boating, riding motorcycles, going to car shows, playing softball, watching the Atlanta Braves and was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan. Donna supported her husband Wiley in the Shriners, the Possum Creek and Hillbillies chapters, the Red Fez Club. She was the former first lady of the Shrine and a member of the Sunnyside chapter of the Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: Stephen Smith. She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years: Wiley Byron Heard, Jr. of Chickamauga, GA, their sons: Stephen “Steve” (Carrie) Heard of Ringgold, GA, Andrew “Andy” (Jennifer) Heard of Flintstone, GA, grandchildren: Riley, Cooper and Gracie Lea Heard, Maggie (Ethan) Heard Haney, sister: Sheila (Tom) Napier of Burning Bush, GA, brother: Timothy Smith of Signal Mountain, TN, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 12 noon until 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday – June 4, 2025 in the chapel with Pastor Jon Alverson officiating. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Homes – J.
