Jewell Dean Kinsey Baker age 96, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025. She was born in LaFayette, Georgia to the late McKinley and Allie May Watts Kinsey. She was a lifelong resident of LaFayette and a member of North LaFayette Baptist Church. She worked at E.T. Barwick Mills for twenty-two years and retired from the Roper Corporation after twenty-one years. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Jesse Willard “J.W.” Baker, Sr., their daughter: Vera Brooks Anderson, sisters: Ruby Milligan, Annie Ruth Harris, Ethel Mae Ferguson, Linda King, brothers: Charles Preston Kinsey, David Lewis Kinsey, Franklin Shirley Kinsey and Harold Kinsey. She is survived by her children: Jesse Willard (Gisela) Baker, Jr., of Rock Spring, GA, Pamela (Marshall) Kellett of LaFayette, GA, Donna (Dave) Hinson of Winder, GA, ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Saturday after 9:00 AM until the service. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am – Saturday – August 23, 2025 in the chapel.
