Mrs. Judy Ann CordellLaFayette

Judy Ann Kinsey Cordell age 77, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away at her home Sunday evening, April 13, 2025. She was born in LaFayette, Georgia to the late John Lewis and Juanita Ellen Cross Kinsey. She had been a lifelong resident of the LaFayette area and had attended Ridgeview Baptist Church. Judy was a former CNA with LaFayette Health Care for many years. She enjoyed dancing, singing, going to yard and estate sales. She had been an avid runner and at one time could have competed professionally. Judy loved being outside working in her flowers and going for hikes. She was very kind hearted and adored her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband: Jim Pettyjohn and her brother: John Larry Kinsey. She is survived by her husband: Wayne Cordell, her children: James David (Tonya) Pettyjohn, Catherine Ellen Pettyjohn, brother: Terry (Jacqueline) Kinsey all of LaFayette, GA, grandchildren: Sarah Grace Pettyjohn, Laura Catherine Pettyjohn, great-grandchildren: Dallas Cade, Murphy, Margo and Miles Ledbetter, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday and from 12 noon until the service on Wednesday. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm – Wednesday – April 16, 2025 in the chapel with Chaplain Mike Lowery officiating. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Homes - LaFayette Chapel.
