Mary JoAnna Brown Brannon age 86, of High Point, Georgia went home to be with The Lord Tuesday – January 27, 2026. Mary was born in High Point, Georgia to the late Thurston and Eunice Ray Brown. She graduated from Chattanooga Valley High School – Class of 1958. She was a former employee of Combustion Engineering in Chattanooga, TN. She had also worked as an office secretary for Dr. Ellis and Dr. Sherrill’s office. Mary enjoyed quilting, going to craft fairs and to the beach in Destin, FL. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: James Cecil Brannon and siblings: Wanda and Wayne Brown. She is survived by her son: James David Brannon of Silver Creek, GA, sisters: Janice and Irene, granddaughter: Hailey Nicole (Kyle) West, great-grandchildren: Maci, Maddie and Berkley West, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday from 11:00 am until the service. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm – Thursday – January 29, 2026 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes with Pastor: Brian Carroll officiating.
