Mira Susan “Suzy” Barrett Mann age 69, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away peacefully at her home Monday, September 15, 2025. She was born in LaFayette, Georgia to the late H.D. “Boss” and Ethel Irene Brown Barrett. She was a graduate of Gordon Lee High School – Class of 1973 and a lifelong resident of Chickamauga, Georgia. She was a postal carrier for the U.S. Post Office for many years and retired from the Rossville Office. Suzy enjoyed riding her pearl white Harley-Davidson, riding horses, spending time at the lake, flying airplanes, a good bar room fight and loved just about all animals, especially her dogs. She is preceded in death by her parents: H.D. “Boss” and Ethel Irene Brown Barrett, sister-in-law: Hong-Kee Barrett and brother-in-law: Jimmy Riddle. She is survived by her loving family, sister: Doris Riddle, brothers: Gary Barrett, Jerry (Donna) Barrett all of Chickamauga, Georgia, her nieces and nephews who she claimed as her own children: Yack (Susan) Barrett, Shannon (Jeff) Stevens, Christy Walls, Jamie Barrett, Denny (Amanda) Barrett, Bubba Barrett (Amber), Jenna Barrett, several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 12 noon until 3:00 pm. A graveside service to celebrate Suzy’s life will follow at 3:00 pm – Friday – September 19, 2025 on her 70th birthday at the Barrett Family Farm Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Homes - J.
