Mrs. Patricia Louise AvansRossville

Patricia Louise Wilbanks Avans age 66, of Rossville, Georgia passed away Sunday – September 21, 2025 in a local hospital. She was born in Stevenson, Alabama to the late Bazell and Robie Knight Wilbanks. Patricia spent her childhood in Alabama and has resided in the Chattanooga and northwest Georgia area for the past forty years. She was a former employee of Pilgrims Pride where she worked as an inventory clerk and had also worked as a dispatcher for Comcast. She was of the Baptist faith and loved hosting family dinners at her home. She enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. She loved taking road trips with her husband Dale on their 100th Anniversary Harley-Davidson, that she bought him by surprise. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Johnny and James Wilbanks. She is survived by her loving husband: Lamar “Dale” Avans of Rossville, GA, her step-sons: Jeff Avans (Angel Qualls) of Marietta, GA, James Avans of Chattanooga, TN, Jason Avans (Ashley Bradley) of LaFayette, GA, sister: Brenda Gray of Chattanooga, TN, grandchildren: Paizlee Avans, Jayden Bradley, Kade Avans, several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday – September 24, 2025 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday from 10:00 am until the service. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday – September 25, 2025 in the chapel. Burial will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park in Rossville, Georgia.
