Terri Lynn Smith Orsburn, age 74, of East Ridge, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
Terri was born in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late Charles Smith Sr. and Beverly Whray Smith. She had resided in the East Ridge area for the past 30 years and was a faithful member of Freedom Church in East Ridge.
Terri retired in 2018 from T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital after more than 20 years of dedicated service. A strong cancer survivor, she lived life with determination, faith, and joy. Terri cherished spending time with her family and church family and was an avid bowler, participating in two leagues at Spare Time in Brainerd and Spare Time in Hixson. She also enjoyed crafting and cross-stitching.
Terri was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her kind spirit, strength, and caring heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Terri was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harrison B. Orsburn Jr.; her brother, Charles “Chuck” Smith Jr.; and her step-siblings, Kimberly Vaughn and Andrew Oliver.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kelly Orsburn; stepmother, Betty Smith; sister, Ann (Larry) Harmon; brother, Michael (Robin) Smith; sisters-in-law, Shelia Oliver and Darlene Crews; and several loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
