Nellie RogersChickamauga, GA

Nell Peterson Rogers, 95, of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord Monday July 24, 2023. She was born in Trion, GA a daughter of the late John and Mettie Lou Mullins Parker. Nell was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church for more than 60 years, where she ministered to many of the members by taking meals, her famous fried pies and other sweets.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Melvin Peterson, husband William (Bill) Rogers, and son Gary Leon Peterson.

Survivors include son Frank Peterson Jr. (Gloria), daughter-in-law Linda Peterson, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be held 12 PM, Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA.

The family will receive friends 4-6 PM, Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742.
