Niles William “Stu” Fowler
January 1, 1929 - August 14, 2023

Niles William “Stu” Fowler, age 94 of Fort Oglethorpe, passed away Monday August 14, 2023. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga/North Georgia area and retired from US Pipe after 43 years of service. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army in Germany during the Korean War era. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and sang in several Gospel Quartets and the Chattanooga Choo Choo Chorus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Fowler; father, William Clifford Fowler; mother Claudia Jackson Wooten; and step-father, Leonard Wooten.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Tony Fowler; daughter Pam Robinson (Wayne); previous wife, Annie M. Sims; grandchildren, Brad Robinson (Jayda), Joy Fletcher (Nathan) and Zachary Fowler; great-grandchildren, Mollie Robinson, Hannah Fletcher, Karis Fletcher and Andrew Fletcher; several extended family and many friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Niles’ caregiver, Teddy Hughes.
Visitation will be 4pm until 8pm Thursday August 17, 2023 at the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 12pm Friday August 18, 2023 in the funeral home chapel. Dr. David Sampson officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
