Nina J. Stone, 83 of Lookout Mountain, GA passed away Saturday, May 6th, 2023.
Nina was born and raised in the Chattanooga Valley area and attended South Seminole Baptist Church. She earned her Associates Degree in Business and maintained a 4.0 GPA from Georgia Northwestern Technical College. Nina then worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee until her retirement. She was an avid reader of murder mysteries, loved spending time at the lake and the beach, working in her yard, and being outside in the sun. Nina was mom to many of the kids in West Brow and was known for her kind, caring, heart of gold. She was funny, sassy, self-sacrificing, and quick-witted and will be dearly missed.
Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Buck Stone; parents, W.G. and Ann Gann; and brother, Buck Gann.
Survivors include her children: Renee (Bill) Satterfield, Kim (Eddie) Parker, Buster (Barbara) Stone, and Stefanie (Chris) Wilson; grandchildren: Blakley Satterfield, Ashley Tudor, Nikki Pruitt, Trey Stone, McKenzie McConnell, and Lane Wilson; great grandchildren: Everett, Obie, and Bodie McConnell, Ransom Buttram, River Stone, Madison, Brayden, and Caitlin Pruitt; great great grandchildren, Case and Callie Osborne; sister, Nancy C. (Byron) Potts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 10th, 2023 at 11am in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South. The procession will be leaving Lane Funeral Home at 10:30am and all are welcome to follow.
