Opal Pauline BranumRossville

Opal Pauline Branum, 97 of Rossville went to her heavenly home on April 5, 2025 at a local nursing home. Born in Johnson City Tennessee on October 15, 1927 to the late Charles and Velvie Anderson; and moved to Rossville as a teen. At 19 she met the love of her life Gene Branum, and 6 months later she was married. Opal worked in retail her whole life, and was a member at Rossville Church of God.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Thomas “Gene” Branum; youngest daughter Lugena Plemons; son-in-law John Parker Jr; brothers Bob, John, Buford, Vernon; and one great-great grandson Jaxson.

Opal is survived by her 2 daughters Tonya (Glenn) Anderson, and Sherry Parker. 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 23 great- great grandchildren; and 1 niece.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 9, 2025 in the parlor of the funeral home, and from 11:00 -12:15 before the service. A graveside service will follow on Thursday March 10, 2025 1:00 p.m. at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park in Rossville.
