Pat Hamilton, 89, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024. He was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga, Georgia with his 2 children and wife of 51 years. Pat married his high school sweetheart, Patsy Jo Fitzgerald Hamilton, who preceded him in death in July of 2005. His parents, George Hamilton and Leafy Brown Hamilton, siblings Junior, Brownie, and Frankie also proceeded him in death. Survivors include his son, Dr. Tony Hamilton, who resides in Blacksburg, Virginia and his daughter, Dr. Freda Hamilton, who resides in Marietta, Georgia. Pat leaves behind three grandchildren – Dr. Elizabeth Forrester (Steven), Dr. Tyler Hamilton (Emily), and Katherine Hamilton. Other family includes family by love, Kelly Lewis (Shelly), and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 4th at Elizabeth Lee Methodist Church in Chickamauga, Georgia. Burial will follow in Chickamauga Cemetery where he will be laid to rest near his beloved wife. The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home in Chickamauga, Georgia on Tuesday, September 3rd from 4pm-8pm.
Zach Fitzpatrick and Elvis Taylor will be officiating the service. Pallbearers include Elvis Taylor, Michael Taylor, Stanley Matthews Bill Curtis, Robert Tarvin, Jr., Chris Box, Doug Pendergraft, and Donald Mitchell.
