Peggy Anne Kellogg Brown, age 76, of Chickamauga, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Born in LaFayette to the late William “Bill” Kellogg and Bobbie Jean Autry Kellogg, Peggy was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church.
A woman of deep faith and unwavering love, Peggy was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her gentle spirit and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Brown, with whom she shared a life of love and devotion.
Peggy is survived by her daughters, Lisa Shine (Andrew) and LeAnne Shook (Jonathan); sisters, Nancy Pilgrim and Sandra Kinsey (Tom); grandchildren, A.J. Shine, Alex Shine, and Cailee Grace Shook; as well as several nieces and nephews who will carry forward her legacy of compassion and grace.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Chickamauga City Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Dean Spivey. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again prior to the service on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Peggy’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
