Philip “Phil” Russell MillerRising Fawn

Phil Miller, age 64, resident of Rising Fawn, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at CHI Memorial Hospital, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Mr. Miller, son of the late William Russell Miller, Jr. and Martha Sue Hixon Miller, was born April 10, 1960 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was Baptist by faith and retired from Walter A. Wood Supply where he faithfully worked for over 15 years. Prior to working at Walter A. Wood Supply, he worked at C&I Specialty Company for over 10 years. Mr. Miller enjoyed both fishing and hunting. Many would find him working on projects he had at home. Mr. Miller looked forward to spending time with friends, and also spending time with his dog. The family remembers him as a quick-witted man, one who never met a stranger, and a good guy that would help anyone.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Farris DeWayne Miller. He is survived by three sons, Jonathan (Whitney) Miller, Corey Miller, and Jarrod Miller; one sister, Marlene (Wade Dominey) Morris; two grandchildren, Jacob Miller and Ava Miller; many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Rising Fawn, Georgia on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, 1 pm with Reverend Bill Gill officiating. The family will receive friends at W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, 555 West Cloud Springs Road, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 4-8 p.m.
