Phillip “Kid” Moses Paradise, 82, of Rossville passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 at his home. He was born on February 5, 1941 in Scottsboro, Alabama to the late Ira and Mary Annie Paradise. He was a Welder at Combustion for many years. Kid was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed building furniture, collecting rocks, bird and butterfly watching, a model train enthusiast and loved to travel when he could.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Shelva “Bootsie” Paradise; children, Rhonda Paradise (the late Tony) Johnson, Reginald “Reggie” (Sheila) Paradise, Crystal Paradise (Rodney) Elliott; grandchildren, April Johnson Troutwine, Alecia Johnson McClendon, Ashley Johnson Rogers, Courtney Paradise Moore, Jonathan, Nicolas, Joshua, Spencer, Sam, Sarah, Nelson and Simon Elliott; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Melody, Allie, Braden, Lexi, Adam, Alyssa, Kobyn, Aria, Emery, Reid and Addison; along with numerous nieces and nephews and other family, Aubrey Jo Elliott.
A celebration of life service will be held 5 PM Monday at Union Avenue Baptist Church in the fellowship hall.
