Richard “Heavy” Harding Salisbury, age 78, of South Pittsburg, TN, passed on March 31, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Ann Peardon; parents, Egbert and Thelma Salisbury; brothers, Bob Salisbury and Bill Salisbury; and sister, Frances McAllister.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Middleton Salisbury; daughter, Lourie Chastain; stepdaughter, Rita Fletcher; son, Richard (Shannon) Salisbury; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Iva Grimaldi, Peggy Reed, Mary Cadle, Donna Smith, and Norma McCourt; brothers, Jim Salisbury, David Salisbury, and John Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 5, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Joe Sellers officiating.
Interment will take place at Wilson Family Cemetery in Rossville.
Pallbearers will be Todd Salisbury, Daniel Cooper, Colby Guffey, Gary Sellers, Billy Sellers, and Tim Ellis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Noel Rapoza and Junior Salisbury.
A visitation will take place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 4, at the funeral home.
