Rickie Charles Climer
June 16, 1950 - December 31, 2025

Rickie Charles Climer, age 75, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at his home in Flintstone, Georgia, surrounded by his loving family.
Rickie was born on June 16, 1950, in Jackson, Tennessee, to Richard Climer and Virble Climer Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jimmy Climer, Jerry Climer, and Phillip Climer; and his beloved son, Joshua Climer.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Ruby Climer, with whom he shared a life built on love, resilience, and partnership. Rickie was a proud father to Amy Jennings (née Climer) and her husband Zach Jennings, and to Geoffrey Climer and his wife Melissa. He is also survived by his sisters Teresa Englebretson and Lisa Tedder.
He was a deeply loving grandfather who took great pride and joy in his grandchildren: Madilynn Pittman (née Climer) and her husband Tucker Pittman, along with their children Brayden and Kayson, Elysia Climer, Graham Climer, Tyler Hamilton, William Jennings, Gabriel Reynolds, and Emmeline Climer. He is also fondly remembered by Michelle Westbrook, his daughter-in-law through love if not by law, as well as by his many nieces and nephews.
Rickie was a master plumber and a proud member of the Local 43 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. After retiring, he embraced the simple pleasures of life — tending his garden, spending time at the beach, and relaxing in the pool. More than anything, he cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.
Known as a gifted storyteller, Rickie lived a colorful and adventurous life in his early years, sharing his stories freely and often. Eventually, he and Ruby settled in Flintstone, Georgia, where they raised their children and built a life defined not by extravagance, but by love, generosity, and quiet fulfillment. Rickie was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and neighbors alike, leaving a lasting impression through his kindness and generosity.
Rickie was a man of Christian faith, and his family finds comfort in the hope and assurance that they will see him again.
The family will receive visitors Friday, 1/9/26, from 10 AM - 12 PM, at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA. A service will immediately follow visitation, and all are welcome to attend.
Rickie’s life was rich in love, laughter, and connection, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
