Ricky L. Huggins, 68, of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Willie and Irene Huggins. Rick had lived in the Northwest Georgia area his entire life and was of the Baptist faith. Rick was young at heart and loved to laugh and have fun. He never met a stranger and was always cheerful and optimistic. Rick was always creative and a dreamer, and he managed to live his life left-handed. Rick dearly loved his children and his grandchildren. He was always easy to talk to and willing to spend time helping and listening to his family. Rick was a good man; his family's love for him was deep and unwavering, and he will be dearly missed.

Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Irene Huggins; sister, Dianne Heinz; and brother, Willie Huggins, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Ricky (Katie) Huggins, Jr. of Knoxville, Tennessee; Quentin Huggins of Knoxville, Tennessee; Michelle (Derek) Watts of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, and Tim Huggins of Chickamauga, Georgia; brothers Greg Huggins and Terry Nelson; and grandchildren Justes Whaley, Justin Bowlin, Eugene Huggins, Jr., Kevin Huggins, Savannah Driver, Alex Huggins, Annabelle Huggins, and Kairi Huggins, and several nieces and nephews.

The family has arranged a time to remember and honor Rick. Friends and family are invited to join us on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, February 7, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Memorial service, a time for family to share stories and celebrate Rick’s life, will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home's parlor.
