Robert “Bobby” Larry Brackett, age 83, resident of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Encompass Rehab Hospital, Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is now with his Lord and Savior.
Bobby, son of the late Roby Lee Brackett and Edna Alice Dalishment Brackett, was born August 2, 1941 in Chattanooga. He was a veteran of the military, serving his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Bobby was an expert stone and brick mason for over 50 years. He loved dancing, and even appeared in the movie “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia.” Bobby enjoyed the outdoors and adventured driving out to various places. While at home, he enjoyed watching classic western movies and listening to music. Most of all, he looked forward to spending quality time with his family. The family remembers him as a good and tender- hearted man, one who always wanting to help others.
Bobby is survived by two daughters, Tammy (Victor) Condroski and Regina Mathis; two sons, Larry Brackett and Ted (Kelly) Broome; eight grandchildren, Nick, Kay, Chelsey, Michael, Vic, Chad, Parker, and Chander; nine great-grandchildren, Aydon, Kayleigh, Luke, Evan, Nolen, Oliver, Harper, Jackson, and Blair; several nieces; nephews, other relatives and friends.
Private burial services will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
