Robert Edmond Foster
September 19, 1939 - November 25, 2025

Robert Edmond Foster, 86, of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Robert was born in Rossville, Georgia, to the late Claude and Trilla Foster. He lived in the Chickamauga area the rest of his life and was a faithful member of the Mountain View Church of Christ in Rossville, Georgia. Robert was one of our American Heroes. He honorably served our country in the United States Army as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He served tours overseas, mainly in France and Spain. After his time in service, he continued to skydive. For over sixty years, Robert preached and taught in the Church of Christ. He had a radio broadcast that allowed him to travel throughout Tennessee, preaching and teaching. Robert also served as a Chaplain in the state prison system. He was a passionate student of the Bible and a follower of Jesus Christ. Robert was a great husband, father, and grandfather, always kind and compassionate. He dearly loved his family, and he was a compassionate friend to all who knew him, most of all, people knew he cared! He will be greatly missed until we see him again.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Trilla Foster.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Linda Ann Foster of Chickamauga, Georgia; children, Robert A. Foster of Chickamauga, Georgia, Christopher S. (Karen) Sammons of Killen, Alabama, and Cheryl A. (Scotty) LeMay of Chickamauga, Georgia; grandchildren, Blake, Lauren, Bryan, Robyn, Brandon (Boo), Bradley (BJ), Abby, Emma Grace (EG), and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join us in remembering and honoring Robert on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Mountain View Church of Christ, 1001 Mission Ridge Road, Rossville, Georgia. The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. at the church after the visitation. After the funeral service, we will proceed to the National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Ave. Chattanooga, Tennessee, for the 2 p.m. burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ukraine Fund at the Church of Christ in LaFayette, Georgia.
