Robert Lamar Johnson Jr.Rossville

Robert Lamar Johnson, Jr., 58, of Rossville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2025. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Robert and Jane Johnson. Robert had lived in the Chattanooga and Northwest Georgia area his entire life, was of the Baptist faith, and worked at Maaco for many years. Robert enjoyed his work painting cars and going fishing. He was a quiet man who immensely loved his family and always enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Robert was a good man with a big heart; his family's love for him was deep and unwavering, and he will be missed.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lamar and Willie Jane Johnson; sisters, Laura Redmon and Sharon Johnson; and fiancé, Angela Jones.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Stacy (Ronnie) Clayton of Rock Spring, Georgia, and Puggy (Tabatha) Johnson of Rossville, Georgia; sisters, Cora Lea Lujan-Daldine of Manchester, Tennessee, Rose “Mouse” Redmon of Rossville, Georgia, and Kimberly Hawkins of Collegedale, Tennessee; former wife, Martha Johnson; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family has arranged a time to remember and honor Robert. Friends and family are invited to join us on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The funeral service, a time to celebrate Robert’s life, will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 1 p.m. The family appreciates your prayers and support during this difficult time.
