Roderick “Roddy” Cochran, 73, of Rossville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born to the late Lawrence and Jessie Cochran in Chickamauga, Roddy was a devoted member of Valley View where he loved to sing with his wife, Nancy. Roddy and Nancy were both previously employed at Fort Lanes Bowling Alley where their children, Scot and Jamie, would often come to bowl and made lifelong memories playing on leagues and in tournaments. He always enjoyed watching the Braves and Falcons play, it was one of his favorite things to do.

Along with his parents, Roddy is preceded in death by his sister, Gail Veal and brother Wesley Cochran.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty-two years, Nancy Prather Cochran; son, Anthony Scot (Marquita) Cochran, Sr.; daughter, Jamie (Brad) Scott; sisters, Carmen Pitts and Bunny (Ray) Blankenship; grandchildren, Dallas and Bailey Dale, Relic LaMountian, Molly Scott, Anthony Scot, Jr, Mattie and Aiden Cochran; Jaxon and Sydney Hill, Clover Smith; cousins, Bobby (Letha) Cochran, Travis Cochran and Jimmy Wiltberger; special friends, Eddie Upshaw and Skip Strickland; several cherished nieces and nephews.

The family has arranged for a time to remember and honor the life of Roddy. Friends and family are invited to join them on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Gardens Mausoleum.
