Ronald A. Blevins, 85, born January 10, 1940, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on the evening of September 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He grew up on Lookout Mountain, Georgia, and worked in the Durham Coal Mines there before enlisting in the United States Army, where he served for three years. He then spent the rest of his life with his loving wife Edna and their two sons and their families.
Ronald is preceded in death by his father and mother, Paul and Matina Blevins; siblings, Dewayne Blevins, Gary Blevins, Lanny Blevins, Garnette Blevins, Myrna Patterson Blevins, and Arlene Blevins.
He is survived by his loving wife of over sixty years, Edna Abbott Blevins; sons, Rory (Michelle) Blevins, and Samm (Kathy) Blevins; brother, Dwight Blevins; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family has arranged for a time to remember and honor Ronald. Friends and family are invited to join us on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Ascalon Memory Garden on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. with Stan Chambers and Rory Blevins officiating.
