Sandra Doris Stansifer AbernathyRossville, GA

Sandra Doris Stansifer Abernathy, age 86 of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. She was born in Flintstone, GA, was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, and was of the Christian Faith. Sandra retired form Provident Insurance Co. in 2000, after more than 20 years and was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Gary Abernathy Sr.; parents, Charles Stansifer & Lela Howard Stansifer; sister, Louis Stansifer; and brother, Charles “Sonny” Stansifer. Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Laurel Abernathy; granddaughter, Brooklyn Abernathy; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:45 on Thursday at the funeral home.
