Sharon Darlene Coleman, 80, of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025. Born on June 4, 1945, to the late James and Melissa Osburn Chastain, Sharon was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and a woman of deep faith, devoted to her Nazarene beliefs.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Sharon dedicated her life to her family. She was a homemaker whose gentle spirit and creative hands were often found quilting, crocheting, or later in life, enjoying the simple joy of coloring in her favorite books. Known for her fondness for Little Caesars pizza and chicken nuggets, Sharon’s playful spirit and warm presence brought comfort and joy to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Eric Coleman.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, William W. Coleman; children, Clayton (Elaine) Coleman and Sharon Lonette (Tim) Drigans; brother, Butch Gassett; sister, Diana Queen; grandchildren, Daniel, Jessica, Jennifer, Anthony (Cayci), and April (Nathan); great-grandchild, Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the parlor of W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home – Fort Oglethorpe.
