Stanley Edward Castleberry, 61, of Flintstone, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Born to Eddie and Barbara Castleberry in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he was a lifelong resident of the Flintstone, Georgia area and a devoted Christian. Known for his caring and compassionate nature, Stanley was always ready to lend a helping hand—truly the kind of person who would give you “the shirt off his back” if you needed it. He had a heartfelt love for Jesus, enjoyed attending church, and cherished spending quality time with his wonderful friends. He especially loved fishing whenever he got the chance. Stanley’s greatest pride and joy was his family, especially his beloved daughter, Samantha, and granddaughter, Cheyenne. They brought him happiness beyond measure. Surrounded by love from his family and friends, Stanley’s absence will be deeply felt, and he will always be remembered fondly.

Stanley is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Faye Castleberry, and brother-in-law, James Hall.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Eddie Castleberry; daughter, Samantha (Steve) Byrd of Chickamauga, Georgia; brother, Anthony (Amanda) Castleberry of Chickamauga, Georgia; sister Teresa Hall of Flintstone, Georgia; granddaughter, Cheyenne Byrd of Chickamauga, Georgia; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family has arranged for a time to remember and honor Stanley. Friends and family are invited to join us on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral service, a time to celebrate Stanley’s life, will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Following the service, we will proceed to the Chattanooga Valley Cemetery in Flintstone, Georgia, for the burial.
