Steven Clay Morris, 61, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025. He was born to Glen and Sherry Morris in Bridgeport, Alabama. Steven was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and Northwest Georgia area and attended Gethsemane Baptist Church in Rossville, Georgia. He loved playing and collecting guitars. As a talented musician, he could play for hours. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, especially his Falcons. Steven loved animals and could never say no to an animal in need of a good home. He had a big heart and loved helping others. Steven was very outgoing with a great sense of humor. He loved to laugh and have a good time. Most of all, Steven cherished his family and enjoyed every moment spent with them. He was loved by everyone who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

Steven is preceded in death by his father, Glen Morris; his brothers, Michael Morris and Christopher Morris; his grandparents, Doc and Roberta Hise; and his uncle, Donald Hise.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Brandon Morris of Atlanta, Georgia, and Wesley (Johanna Bond) Morris of LaFayette, Georgia; his mother, Sherry Morris of Rossville, Georgia; his uncle, Jerry Hise; niece, Michaela (Jake) Nolan of Ringgold, Georgia; and childhood and best friend, Tim and Donna Wright.

The family warmly invites friends and loved ones to join us in remembering and honoring Steven on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. We will come together to celebrate Steven’s life during the funeral service, following the visitation, at 4 p.m. Dr. Ernest Groce and Pastor Jeff Brown will officiate.
