Sylvia Ann Smith HillChickamauga

Sylvia Ann Smith Hill, age 89 of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 9, 2025. She was born in Chickamauga to the late Ernest Sam Smith and Effie Ellis Smith, was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church Chickamauga. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Baba Hill; and sisters, Pauline Sherrill and Helen Ellis.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Monty (Jane) Hill, Connie (Jeff) McDaniel, and Tracy (Kent) Woodard; special niece Susan Ellis; grandchildren, Keith Richey, David McDaniel, and Kelli (Cameron) Holland; great grandchildren, Madison, Claire, Audrey, Hannah, Abby, and Preston; great great grandchild, Hadley and her friends and staff at the Canopy at Boynton, where she has lived for the past 3 years.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 14, 2025, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Ken McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in the Chickamauga City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday and prior to the service on Friday.
