Tonja Rae Sheldon, age 47, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on January 8, 2026.
Born in Covington, Kentucky, on January 30, 1978, Tonja was known for her vibrant spirit and love for life. She was a dedicated member of the Mountain View Church of Christ in Chickamauga, Georgia, where she found great community and strength in her faith.
Tonja had a passion for music and movement; she was often found enjoying karaoke, dancing, or spending an afternoon bowling. One of her favorite pastimes was heading to "the bridge" to meet up and share laughs with her dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Constance Sheldon, and her father, Edward Sheldon. She is survived by her loving sister, Tammy Sheldon; grandmother, Delores Fowler; aunts, Lois Bailes and Laura Fowler; and uncle, Curtis (Jan) Fowler, who will cherish her memory.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Mountain View Church of Christ, with Pastor Peter Wesson officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-J. Avery Bryan Chapel, Chickamauga.
