Wally ReedRossville, GA

James Wallace (Wally) Reed, 89, of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2023. He was born September 22, 1933 at home in Chickamauga, GA. Wally lived in Rossville, GA in his later years.

James Wallace Reed joined the U.S Navy at age 16 and fought in the Korean War. Wally graduated from Gordon Lee High School in 1950 and University of Chattanooga 1967. He worked for Combustion Engineering in the US until he was transferred to Pusan Korea where he finished his career as a Nuclear Engineer Consultant. James Wallace Reed had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and was a member of the Battlefield Parkway Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by parents Sara A. Maxey and J.D. Reed, wife Reeda (Dodie) Reed, and son Jason Fraley.

Wally is survived by his loving wife: Barbara Davis Reed, Children: Carol Reed Cross (Gary), Robert Alan Reed (Wendy), John David Reed, Jeff Fraley (Cheryl), and Tonya Plemons (Steve). Grandchildren: Brandon Reed Cross (Candice Cross, Braeleigh Higgins, Maci Higgins, Avery Higgins) John Matt Reed, Kolson Reed, Aaron Fraley (Teresa and son John), Alex Fraley, Evan Fraley, Madeleine Plemons, Cayla Plemons, Amber Holzhey (Bryan, Isaac, Ellijah, Ethan) Brooke Plemons (Blake, Christopher) Special Friends: Louise and Wayne Bryant; Shelley and Bill Hooten

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday at Battlefield Parkway Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Joe Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends 11-1 PM Tuesday at Battlefield Parkway Church of the Nazarene.
