Wanda Ishee Robinson LynchLaFayette

Wanda Ishee Robinson Lynch 74, of LaFayette, Georgia and Laurel, MS went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2025. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Harold C and Caroleen Ishee of Laurel.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Phil Lynch; her sister, Linda Dubose (Wayne); brothers, Collette Ishee (Vivian), and Larrry Ishee (Phyllis). Wanda has two children who loved her dearly: son, Stacy Robinson (Brandi) and daughter, Shilloy Bates. Wanda had a special bond with her grandchildren and in her eyes, they could do no wrong. She has two granddaughters, Kelsey Topolski and Rachel Bates, and four grandsons: Eric Bates, Robbie Bates, Ben Robinson, and Jayse Robinson. She also has three precious great- great grandsons; Isaac, Tucker, and Oliver Topolski. She had many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family that she cherished.

Wanda was a career performer, musician and teacher who touched the lives of many students, and they held a special place in her heart. Her lifelong teaching career consisted of time at Maddox Jr. High School, Northeast Jones High School, Lafayette High School and Georgia Northwestern Technical college. She dedicated many years of service to various churches throughout Mississippi, Georgia and Tennessee. Her gift of music touched many locally at Brainard Baptist Church, Highland Baptist Church and especially Plainway Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, February 27, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Homes Wallis ~ Stewart Chapel, 443 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, Georgia. A full service will be held in her hometown of Laurel Mississippi.

Visitation will be held at Memory Chapel Funeral Homes on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. with funeral to follow at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel. Graveside services will follow at Enon cemetery in Bay Springs, Mississippi. Reverend Wayne Dubose will officiate. Online register book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
