Wesley Ross Cox, 83, of Ringgold went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 16, 2023. Wesley was born April 27, 1940 in Ringgold to the late Thomas and Virginia Cox. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia/ Tennessee area and member of South Seminole Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Ringgold High School Class of 1958. Wesley worked at Ernest Holmes Company for many years and was a member of the IBEW Local 175.

He is preceded in death by his sisters, Sandra Sue Bell and Wanda Singsank.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Charlotte Cox; son, Glenn (Rhonda) Cox of Ringgold; grandchildren, Josh (Brooke) Poole and Mallauri (Dylan) Simmons; great-grandchildren, Parker, Emersyn, Keeley, Lucas and Charleston; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ron Perry officiating. Interment to follow at Daily Hills Cemetery.

Family to receive friends 4-8 PM, Thursday and 11-1 PM, Friday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
